…….And the Transition begins………

A lot of people have asked me why am I going natural? And how my hair is growing back, but they are missing the point. Yes my hair is growing back SLOWLY, but relaxers does nothing, but gives me burns and thins my hair out. I have done more research than possible. I can’t say that I’m not nervous to take this journey because I am I have never done anything like this. I always get my hair done at the salon I never had the patience to do my own hair. Whenever the new growth came in and I would do my own hair, I couldn't maintain the thickness. But it was patience that I didn’t have. Going natural is a major decision and journey to accomplish. Thank to Danielle from reading her hair blog on hairmilk.com I found a lot of information and transitioning tips to help throughout my journey. I now know how long the process is and how much patience it takes. I can do it and I will do it. I had a lot of people in my ear telling me how natural is nappy hair and it’s too much work, but if you put the time into it, it can be a smooth process. I have hair type of 4 something hair which is quite a lot of work. And let me address the nappy hair saying real quick…..If you don’t take care of your hair the way you should then yes you have nappy hair, but if you treat and take care of it the way it needs to be taken care of then I guaranteed you that you can have the beautiful hair that Danielle, Tamara Mowry, Keisha Knight Pullam, Tracee Ellis Ross, or Elle Varner has. I have nothing against relaxed hair I just feel relaxed hair just isn’t for me. I start working on my process tomorrow. It’s been almost a month since my last relazer and I am ready to take on this journey. My hair will not defeat me.
