                                       UPDATE: MY HAIR JOURNEY

Hey Guys!!!! Today I'm discussing my previous hair journey as of right now. If you don't know May 6th was my 4th month anniversary and I have to say this has been a tremendous journey. I have noticed when I’m co washing my hair in the shower I can feel my hair on my neck. It’s pretty much past my neck if straightened. I pulled a curl down and it reaches my collar bone. I didn’t know my hair could grow this fast in such a short period of time.
This is the front of my hair. My hair is a lot longer in the front than it is in the back. I’ve been wearing my hair out in the front and low pony in the back for weeks. This has been my go to style for a while because I’ve been wearing wash and go’s for a little over a month. I think I have fell in love with the curly look a lot because when I was relaxed everyone that knows me know that I always wore my hair straight. I absolutely hated curling my hair because I didn’t care for curling it at all. I think my problem was actually taking the time to actually curl it with a curling iron. [Yes I was quite lazy with my hair at times]. I must be honest I was getting really tired of doing my hair and wetting it every day it made me miss my relaxed days. [Although I am never going back]. I was used to wrapping, unwrapping, and oil sheen daily that I missed how easy it was to do that. I spend more money being natural than I ever was relaxed. [That’s the sucky part since I am a product junkie]. I just decided to go back to protective styling so I did this......
Yes I went right back to braids. I had some people in my ear telling me not to because they loved my hair and some people telling me I should. I did it for me because even though I’m thankful for experiencing this lovely journey of being natural my hair needed a break. I know I could have done a protective style with my natural hair, but I just didn’t want to when I could get this done and wear it for about two to three months. I have to say the experience was bad and it took the lady TEN hours to do this. [let me throw in a fun fact real quick... I made an appointment two weeks in advance and asked for TWO people to work on my head. Ask me where the second person was??...EXACTLY!!!!] I was low key furious because thank God I didn’t have shit to do that day or else it would’ve been a problem. I just don’t think it was worth paying $225 for ten hours. Yup, you read it right I paid $225 for this. I admit it’s nice I love it and they are beautiful braids, but I’m not sure if I can sit there for ten hours again. I only did this because my hair is growing out in that in between stage and it’s frustrating at times because I am very limited to styling now. I planned on leaving it in until August let’s just see how much growth I will have after I take this out. Wish me luck!!!!!!!!

XOXO,
